DesignDestinations is inspired by my passion for travel and fascination with interesting design.

The Destinations are loosely defined to include architecture, interior design, shops, gardens, hotels, restaurants, museums, markets, galleries, web sites and photography.

Whether the reaction to the Destination is a Wow, a smile or a thoughtful meditation, the critical component is that the location evoke an emotional response.  I will observe, report, react, reflect and hopefully inspire your comments.

I have always been interested in the impact design, the arts and travel have on the way we live, love, feel and work.   This project is a journey of discovery.

I hope you will join me along the way.

Thank you Susan! These are beautiful photos of the pumpkins, etc. We will take the tour tomorrow hoping that the sun appears as forecast. The party was too beautiful to leave last night. It was a terribly long typical 2.5 hrs. to Pennies-Go-Quick. The kids slept from the moment we picked them up. Megan arrived right after we did. She attended the Shawn Colvin concert at the Opera House last night. Finally hit the mattress at 1:50 am. Ouch! We all babied ourselves today with lunch at Red Ginger and the movie Where the Wild Things Are. It was beautifully done. Amazing!!! A terrific flick for aging adults. Each of us, 10-68 yrs old, had such a different interpretation on the messages and characters.

  22. I just discovered your web site on yahoo and see that you’ve obtained some wonderful thoughts in this post. I particularly appreciate the way you’ve been able to stick so really much believed into a relatively short upload (comparitively) which creates it an thoughtful post on your topic. IMHO you set a lot of great information in this upload not having all the filler that most bloggers use just to make their posts look longer, that is perfect for a gal like me who doesn’t have a lot time trigger I’m generally within the go. I frequently get so frustrated with so numerous with the final outcomes in the major SE’s due to the fact they frequently seem to mostly be filled with filler content that frequently isn’t quite sensible. Should you don’t mind I am going to add this post and your weblog to my delicious favorites so I can write about it with my family. I look forward to coming back again to study your long term posts too.
